Member of FWS Chosen as Best Faculty Member at the 4th Educational Festival of University of Tehran

Dr. Mohammad Samiei, Head of the Department of Iranian Studies at the Faculty of World Studies, was chosen as the best faculty member at the 4th Educational Festival of University of Tehran.

The 4th Educational Festival of University of Tehran was held on Tuesday, May 02, 2017, Teachers’ Day, in Allame Amini Hall of the University’s central library. Vice President Eshaq Jahavgiri, Minister of Science, Research and Technology, Mohammad Farhadi, and Chancellor of University of Tehran, Dr. Mahmoud Nili Ahmadabadi attended the ceremony where Dr. Mohammad Samiei, Head of the Department of Iranian Studies at the Faculty of World Studies, was chosen and appreciated as the best faculty member at the 4th Educational Festival of University of Tehran.

There are 2260 faculty members at the University of Tehran, of whom 485 are professors, 650 are associate professors, 1075 are assistant professors, and 50 are lecturers.

Teaching quality, cooperation in providing scientific and laboratory education, writing and translating textbooks, cooperation in planning and reviewing educational programs, designing interdisciplinary programs, providing modern educational methods, cooperation in students’ scientific competitions, and, more importantly, educational quality and student polls are effective in choosing the best faculty members.
